Behind the Name Still and Listening

Still and listening is derived from  Mark 4:39-41 which says

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

As Christians the world is our storm for we are in it but we do not belong to it. We go through difficult times while we are here on earth but the Lord is there to protect us. There is a boat we are in and the sea is not calm but faith is all we need. Therefore we need to watch and pray even in the storm.

While we are in that boat we need to remain Still and know that Jesus is God.  However if we fail to Listen our Faith will be shaken by ehttps://wordpress.com/page/stillandlistening.wordpress.com/161very passing storm.

In verse 40 of Mark 4 Jesus asks the disciples Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? It is not in fear that we learn in the Lord but in Faith. What needs to remain is reverence for God that we ask Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him! This means the winds and waves listened that followed obedience for the them to be calm. If we were to pick from this we would conclude that if we Listen and Obey we will be Still and drive out fear; hence Still and Listening
